Monthly Update… Bazinga

23 Oct

Hi folks,

October is ending, but we’re here to talk about what we have done in September. Sorry about that, we were running around like headless chickens. We’ve been doing NZ support last sprints and some enhancements on SDR module.

The coolest thing done in September, I think, was that Alastair travelled to New Zealand once he’s NZ Support Champion. Rodrigo took care of the Scrum Master duties and he was very happy with it. Let’s see one of Rodrigo’s sayings when Alastair came back.

Reference? Check it out…

Well, when travelling Alastair took some nice pictures in NZ. Take a look…

As Alastair was walking around in NZ, Ruth took care of all the testing stuff in areas that she either barely or never worked before and didn’t let any test debt to be carried to another sprint. Well done, Ruth! Congratz…

In September Oberdan went to Rio de Janeiro to be one more of the 85 thousand people thirsty to see Metallica, Alice in Chains, Sepultura and the demonic Ghost B.C. on the main stage. He went by bus and it took almost 22h to go and more 22h to come back. But it was worthy! It didn’t matter the hurt on his feet, knees, shoulders and back that he felt after the show. It was utterly a blast of good energy!

Well, do you want to know where he was? (click on the image to see it big… but yes! You still can’t see him)

Rodrigo and Daniel (Zombies) are taking part at Social Good Brazil Lab, which is a series of workshops, during the weekends, where crazy people like them join and discuss ways to use technology to help social causes, like education, urban mobility and health. You can see them explaining their project below, but in Portuguese.

September was the first month of Bruno living in Florianópolis and it was a big pleasure to meet (and work with) everybody at Bravi.

Like a good “Lageano”, he had some difficulties driving here, because the traffic is very different from what he was used to deal, and attention was (and is) a must!

He had his first tasks (and managed to screw up a build, yeah… well done Bruno!), and got to learn how the EBS works, its features and tricks. But the team helped him a lot, making everything easier to learn 😉

He said that this first month wasn’t full of trips (sorry, no cool pics), but he’s very happy with what he had learnt so far!

And that’s all, folks! See you next time…

May the force be with you!
